James Keffer, M.D.

Dr. Keffer received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University in 1994 and his medical degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine in 2001. He completed his internal medicine internship at Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham and his internal medicine-pediatrics residency at the University of Cincinnati Children's Hospital.

Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and formerly Board certified Internal Medicine. Dr. Keffer previously practiced medicine with Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, Vanderbilt Medical Group, Vanderbilt Children's Hospital Emergency Department and Williamson Medical Center. His special interests in practice include quality improvement, asthma, mental and behavioral health, preventing serious illness through vaccination, and improving health outcomes through activity and clean eating.

Dr. Keffer is married to the lovely Teresa and together they have 3 children. He enjoys music, running and family activities.
